Utility Closets
Just an FYI - be careful about storing large objects in your Utility/Laundry Closets... suitcases, etc. They can shift the pipes in the closet, creating leakage issues for the unit below.
That doesn't sound like it was a fun experience. Did you just hit the pipes with your luggage and they broke?
One day I plan on putting some storage shelves in our closet. There's a few feet of room towards the top where we could put some extra items that we don't use all the time (like luggage)

Also, does anybody know where the main shut-off is for the water in our units? Is it the knobs on our water heater? That's all I see in our closet.
